Celebrate the Season with Wee Hairy Beasties' Holidays Gone Crazy

Thursday December 4, 2008

Ever feel like all these winter celebrations are driving you nuts? Slow down, take a deep breath, and check out Wee Hairy Beasties' Holidays Gone Crazy. This Chicago-based musical collective includes members of The Mekons and The Waco Brothers, as well as the entire lineup from Devil In A Woodpile.

The Wee Hairy Beasties perform a mix of acoustic roadhouse blues, hillbilly rock, and jumpin' juke joint jazz, lathered with heaps of imagination, enthusiasm, and humor. On their second long-playing CD for kids, the Beasties sing about dinosaur Christmases, mixed-up holidays, Pumpkinheads, lonely vampires, and the band's alter ego, the Wee Scary Beasties, as well as a few non-holiday subjects like belly buttons and trips to the beach.

Holidays Gone Crazy is an entertaining CD by an extremely talented group of musicians that'll make the whole family laugh through the holidays.
