Who's Tweeting? Kids' Musicians on Twitter

Thursday April 23, 2009

Getting the word out about one's next album or concert is an important part of any working musician's daily life. Twitter is yet another form of grass roots self-promotion that kids' bands are taking advantage of, from established hit-makers like Laurie Berkner, to up-and-coming stars like Lunch Money. Of course, some performers have more to say than others: compare Berkner's 20 or so Twitter updates since mid-March to Readeez creator Michael Rachap's 360 + over the same time frame!

Here's a short list of kids' musicians on Twitter:

Thanks, Gwyneth! Oh, by the way, folks, Gwyneth Butera’s Gooney Bird Kids website was honored as the 2008 “Best Musical Website for Kids” at last year’s Children’s Music Web Awards. Not too bad!
