Today's New Kids' Music Releases: Recess Monkey and Tangerine Tambourine
Two new kids' albums hit the streets on Tuesday, June 9: Recess Monkey's Field Trip, and Tangerine Tambourine's self-titled debut.
Recess Monkey, a trio of elementary school teachers from Seattle, Washington, will release Field Trip today, their fifth album in five years. Heavily influenced by The Beatles, Recess Monkey are one of the most prolific and, arguably, one of the most inventive and imaginative kids' groups around.
Tangerine Tambourine are comprised of an all-star lineup of bands from the Decatur, Alabama area. Their self-titled debut displays an array of musical influences, from powerpop to contemporary country, from Muscle Shoals R&B to '70s soft rock.
