This is a perfect example of the current trend of creating kids' music that parents can enjoy, and discovering grownup music that children will dig. Small Magazine asked Amy Trulock, creator of the children's internet radio station HYP Radio at HipYoungParent.com, to put together a playlist celebrating all things summer: camp, baseball, beaches, vacations, sunshine, and, yes, even pirates!
And what a playlist it is: music from kids' superstars like Elizabeth Mitchell, Recess Monkey, and Justin Roberts; tunes from grownup artists like Lindsey Buckingham, Robert Parker, and Ween; and songs by up-and-coming kids' bands like Robbert Bobbert, Egg, and The Jellydots.
