Listening and Dancing to Music is Awesome!

On October 20, Filter U.S. Recordings is set to release Music is Awesome!, a compilation of music from the Nickelodeon TV show Yo Gabba Gabba! featuring tunes by oh-so-hip groups like The Shins, Chromeo, Of Montreal, The Roots, and I'm From Barcelona, among others.

Nickelodeon itself issued a CD of songs from the show in 2008, but it very quickly went out of print (it's still available on iTunes), so Music is Awesome! is being considered the first true collection of tunes from Yo Gabba Gabba!

This is a pretty awesome collection of songs for kids and grownups alike, but doggone it, Viacom/Nickelodeon/Giant Media Conglomeration, where is "I'm So Happy I Can Dance" by The Salteens?!? Fans have been clamoring for this ridiculously joyful song since it first appeared in the inaugural season of Yo Gabba Gabba!...maybe on Volume 2...
