The Salteens have joined the growing number of grownup bands who are exploring the world of kids' music: on September 7, 2010, the Vancouver-based group will release Kid Songs, a six-song EP of tunes geared toward music-lovin' children and their families.

Salteens fans have been clamoring for the release of "I'm So Happy," a ridiculously upbeat ditty the band performed on Yo Gabba Gabba! for the show's "Super Music Friends Show" segment. The tune is finally available on Kid Songs, along with "Be Nice To Animals," another song The Salteens recorded for Yo Gabba Gabba!

The band took those two songs, plus four more tunes that they had recorded over the past couple of years, and put them together to make Kid Songs. A 4-song version of Kid Songs will be available digitally at iTunes, etc. but if you want "I'm So Happy" and "Be Nice To Animals" you'll need to pick up a copy of the EP from the band's website or offstage at the YO GABBA GABBA! LIVE!: THERE'S A PARTY IN MY CITY North American tour shows where The Salteens are performing.

Kid Songs Track Listing:

  1. "I'm So Happy"
  2. "Be Nice To Animals"
  3. "All My Friends Are Different"
  4. "Count On My Hands"
  5. "Have A Nap Mom"
