The Band
Ernie Jewell and Neal Petti are a "classic rock" kids' band based in the western New Jersey/Philly area. These guys are all about FM radio riffs and good times when it comes to their take on children's music, and their fans love them for it. The duo have been performing and recording together for almost ten years, and have released five albums for kids.
The Music
Christmas Rocks! is full of holiday originals that feature Ernie and Neal's trademark classic rock sound. "The Gift" sounds like a lost Joe Walsh track, while "(I Wanna) Rock (for Christmas)" could be a Poison song. And check out their Sublime-like cover of Hal Moore and Bill Fredricks' classic "Must Be Santa."
The ballad "Christmas Wish" sounds for all the world like Rod Stewart's "You're In My Heart," and "It's Christmas Time" is a guitar-powered ode to everything great about the holiday.
