The best new releases for this spring and summer include choices for all ages and moods. Check it out!

1. Disney's High School Musical Soundtrack

Although the movie and soundtrack for High School Musical came out in January, they are still ruling the charts and setting all sorts of records. The music is actually great and quite fun. The movie is a kid-safe and modern version of Grease. The DVD will be released in May.

This is for all ages but it's hugely popular with preteens and teens.

2. We Are the Laurie Berkner Band DVD

Released in February, We Are the Laurie Berkner Band (DVD) is also ruling the charts. It's most loved by the Noggin crowd, kids from 3-7, and their parents. Laurie and her team are THE biggest name in preschool music right now. The music videos will have your child singing and dancing along.

3. Sing-A-Longs And Lullabies For The Film Curious George

Despite the bulky title, this soundtrack from the movie Curious George is amazing. Jack Johnson, a popular singer already, makes his break into the world of children's music and does it beautifully. This CD is also topping even the adult charts. It's music for kids that parents will truly love as well.

4. Devo 2.0

Disney's reincarnation of Devo uses great music and cute teens/tweens. The CD is making a splash with both older kids and parents who were teens in the '80s. The CD comes with a DVD and features the same type of futuristic bop music that we enjoyed from the original group.

5. Kidz Bop 9

Kidz Bop 9, like the others in the series, features mainstream music in kid-friendly versions with kids' voices. The series is very popular, especially with 8-12 year olds. Parents seems to enjoy the songs as well.

6. That's So Raven Too

That's So Raven Too is the second series-related album from the Disney series, That's So Raven. It features Raven, of course, along with her co-stars and other comtemporaries. It's a fun album especially for series' fans, but others will also enjoy it.

7. Meltdown - Justin Roberts

Justin Roberts appears young, but he's a very experienced singer and songwriter. His songs are very catchy and may get stuck in your head for days at a time. But it's much better for this to happen with Justin Roberts' songs than with some of the alternatives.

8. Disneymania 4

Disneymania 4 is the lastest release in the Disneymania series. The album features favorites B5 and the Cheetah Girls along with newcomers Devo and Miley Cyrus and more. B5 sings a rap version of "Who's Afraid of the Bog Bad Wolf?" that is really cute.

9. Disney's Little Einsteins: Musical Missions

This is the perfect companion to the Little Einsteins DVD and series. The CD features several "missions" from the series with music and narration. The CD also includes a mini sticker book and re-useable cling stickers to 'act out' the missions. The series features great classical favorites along with musical terminology, rhythm, famous artworks, well-known landmarks and more.
